Despite managing trillions in assets, financial firms still bleed billions each year to outdated, manual processes that stall execution and drain talent. While new AI tools are starting to help with these workflows, junior and mid-level professionals at banks, private equity firms, and hedge funds still spend countless hours on repetitive tasks like formatting pitch decks, building comps, and generating financial models and market research, often under intense time pressure. In one study, 75% of junior finance professionals said they spend up to 25% of their time on manual tasks. The result? Slower execution, delayed insights, and talent that burns out or churns out.
Today, we’re excited to announce our investment in a company that’s taking aim at that status quo. We’re proud to lead Farsight AI’s $16M Series A to automate the most time-consuming and strategically critical workflows in finance. RRE Ventures, Link Ventures, K5, and strategic angels from leading firms like Blackstone and Searchlight Capital also joined this round.
In a category filled with AI sizzle, Farsight is delivering steak by transforming how deals get done. Instead of building yet another research chatbot, Farsight is building a full-stack AI execution engine that delivers complete outputs like valuation models, buyer lists, and CIMs directly in Excel and PowerPoint. Unlike generic copilots, Farsight’s platform adapts to each firm's exact style guide, strategic priorities, and stringent security and compliance requirements, meeting the high bar set by top financial institutions.
From insights to output: AI that actually does the work
Most AI tools in finance stop at summarizing documents or answering questions. Farsight goes further. It automates full workflows like pitch deck creation, buyer list generation, and valuation analysis, inside Excel and PowerPoint, customized to each firm’s brand and style guide.
In other words, this isn’t another chatbot. It’s a workhorse. Built to eliminate the inbox chaos, formatting hell, and deadline pressure that financial professionals face every day. Leading investment banks, private equity firms, and hedge funds already use Farsight's platform to shave hours off deal execution without sacrificing quality or control.
There’s a reason this feels like a “right time, right team” moment:
AI adoption is reaching the enterprise core. Financial institutions are finally ready to rethink how their highest-paid talent spends time, shifting focus from manual execution to strategic impact.
The cost of automation is plummeting. Tasks that once required hours from an associate or analyst can now be completed instantly and accurately by AI.
The most coveted roles are also the most at risk. Investment banking and private equity analysts may be among the highest-paid junior professionals, but they face intense burnout and some of the highest turnover rates, driven largely by the grind of repetitive, manual work that can be automated.
The talent squeeze is real. Burnout, churn, and hiring freezes are forcing firms to seek scalable tools that boost output without sacrificing precision or control.
Firms are spending millions on outsourced production work. From overnight formatting to basic research tasks, global teams—that are often offshore—are paid to manually execute what AI can now deliver instantly and securely, in-house.
Farsight is perfectly positioned to help firms reclaim their time, reinvest it into strategy, and operate with the speed today’s markets demand, with deep integrations into their customers’ workflows.
Operators turned builders with a blueprint to match
Co-founded by MIT graduates Samir Dutta, Noah Faro, and Kunal Tangri, Farsight AI is eliminating inefficiencies, accelerating execution, and unlocking entirely new business opportunities for financial institutions.
Their pace of execution is undeniable: In 2024, Farsight grew revenue by 10x and expanded its customer base by 5x, proof that the market is ready for a smarter way to work.
“Finance has been stuck in a loop of bloated processes and wasted potential, costing firms billions and burning out top talent. We’re not just streamlining CIM generation or DCF modeling, we’re enabling firms to move faster, surface more ideas, and deliver real strategic value where it matters most. Our goal is to turn busywork into breakthroughs.”
- Samir Dutta, Co-Founder & CEO, Farsight AI.
All three co-founders are hands-on builders with rare founder-market fit. Samir brings firsthand experience from Evercore and General Atlantic, where he lived the pain of manual financial workflows. Kunal and Noah complement that with deep ML expertise from Hugging Face and Amazon, giving the team a unique edge in building secure, high-accuracy AI systems that actually work in production.
Beyond copilots: Purpose-built AI for financial execution
At SignalFire, we love backing founders who move fast and build for the long haul. We immediately saw Farsight’s transformative potential, backed by a team that deeply understands the complex needs of capital markets, from security and compliance to speed and precision.
We’ve long believed that AI’s biggest opportunities aren’t in replacing people, but in freeing them to focus on what matters most. Farsight embodies that philosophy. It doesn’t just make finance faster, it makes teams sharper, more strategic, and better prepared to win.
We’re proud to support the Farsight team on this journey and excited to see how they’ll continue shaping the future of financial work.
